Nina was prescribed Chlorpheniramine 4 mg every 12 hours and her sneezing and hacking are way down so it appears to be working well.
We have another follow up in two weeks. She is not spayed as of yet since she is still healing from her dental surgery and the vet did not want to do the dental and spaying at one time. We will wait until Nina is fully healed and she can be put under anesthesia again.
Her behavior has also improved greatly. She is not afraid to come into the house, she has started barking and wags her tail now. She eats really well!! But she still refuses to urinate on grass. Looks like that will take a bit more time. She lived in a concrete paved backyard no grass that I could see when I picked her up so hence her behavior now.
Nina is also getting used to daily walks which we hope will help her grass issues. She gets along well with other dogs but is very curious about cats and tends to chase. We will continue working with her and cats.
